Options
Cross-Sectional
The Cross-Sectional option provides the WorkStation with
additional tools which enhance CT and MR reads. The CS
features include:
- Database
management for authorized users (folder merge,
demographic edit, study deletion)
- Multi-Planar
Reconstruction (MPR)
- Maximum
Intensity Projection (MIP)
StatSend
StatSend is an optional feature which can be added to any PACS/DX NT WorkStation. StatSend allows the
workstation to send images to free MultiView Standard software via
standard phone lines. StatSend also supports remote query
from a properly configured MultiView Standard station. A
wavelet compression option is also available with
StatSend.
Print
(DICOM and postscript)
The print option provides printing across the network and
supports the consultation file printing from other
workstations.

The PACS II WorkStation with Server -- VA Edition enhances
radiologist's abilities to access, interpret, report and
distribute image data. When used in conjunction with
DICOM 3.0, VA Edition Server, the PACS II WorkStation
provides optimum efficiency and functionality as a
proprietary workstation.
Features
The PACS II WorkStaion with Server provides a textual
information display from the Department of Veteran
Affairs Decentralized Hospital Computer Program (DHCP)
system. The Workstation also has the cabability to route
imagery from the Server to DHCP imaging gateways. This
allows for low-resolution reference imagery to be
displayed on other radiologists' desks for easy access
during consultations, report generation, and other
administrative duties.
Auto-read
is a unique feature of the PACS II WorkStation (with
the Server interfaced to DHCP) which allows for quick and
accurate diagnosis of a patient's condition by
associating a patient's new undiagnosed study with other
studies collected for that patient on prior visits. With
the single push of a button, this one-of-a-kind feature
automatically reads and arranges the new images with the
previously acquried images .
The PACS II WorkStation utilizes an extensive set of
customizable tables which are used to select recent and
long-term studies appropriate for diagnosing the new
undiagnosed study based on it's CPT code.
