  • Region of Interest (ellipse, rectangle, and irregular) with pixel statistics and boundary measurements
  • Selectable Text Overlay display (demographics, series and image, image parameters)
  • Studies marked as Read or Unread
  • Database management for system administrator (folder merge, demographic edit, study deletion)
  • Variable Image Layout (up to 25 images on one monitor)
  • Single Stack Cine Viewing (manual or automatic for multi-slice series of a single series within a single monitor)
  • Modality-based Viewing Protocols (define text overlay, interpolation mode, tile, window/level, and pan zoom by modality)
  • Consultation file creation, annotation, and local print including annotation with symbols and text (may be saved or printed to local printer as secondary capture image with W/L, pan/zoom, annotation features applied)
  • Edge enhancement
  • Communication flexibility to support network (LAN/WAN)

Options
Cross-Sectional
The Cross-Sectional option provides the WorkStation with additional tools which enhance CT and MR reads. The CS features include:

  • Database management for authorized users (folder merge, demographic edit, study deletion)
  • Multi-Planar Reconstruction (MPR)
  • Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP)

StatSend
StatSend is an optional feature which can be added to any PACS/DX NT WorkStation. StatSend allows the workstation to send images to free
MultiView Standard software via standard phone lines. StatSend also supports remote query from a properly configured MultiView Standard station. A wavelet compression option is also available with StatSend.

Print (DICOM and postscript)
The print option provides printing across the network and supports the consultation file printing from other workstations.

PACS/DX WorkStation - UNIX
  • UNIX (HR) with CS Option
  • Single or Dual Monitor (2000 x 2500 Resolution)
  • Quad Monitor (2000 x 2500 Resolution) - Ethernet/Fast Ethernet only

PACS/DX WorkStations enhance radiologists' abilities to access, interpret, report and distribute image data. These premier diagnostic reading stations offer automated protocol-based preparation along with superior image loading, manipulation and display performance. The UNIX WorkStation features standard High Resolution (HR) functionality. An optional Cross-Sectional (CS) feature is also available.

Base Functionality (HR)

  • DICOM Import (Query/Retrieve SCU and Storage SCP)
  • DICOM Export (Query/Retrieve SCP and Storage SCU)
  • Interactive Window/Level and user-definable Window/Level presets
  • Automatically uses DICOM 3.0 Window/Level (W/L) settings if available or calculates acceptable W/L-based on image content
  • Interactive Pan and Zoom
  • Magnifying Glass with selectable magnification factor
  • Image rotate, mirror, and flip
  • Grayscale Invert
  • Distance, angle, DICOM 3.0 and non-DICOM 3.0 measurement calibration
  • Selective Erase of Annotation
  • Region of Interest (ellipse, rectangle, and irregular) with pixel statistics and boundary measurements
  • Selectable Text Overlay display (demographics, series and image, image parameters)
  • Studies marked as Read or Unread
  • Database management for system administrator (folder merge, demographic edit, study deletion)
  • Tile Mode Viewing (up to 25 images on one monitor)
  • Single Stack Cine Viewing (manual or automatic for multi-slice series of a single series within a single monitor)
  • Communications flexibility to support network (LAN/WAN) connectivity
  • Modality-based Viewing Protocols (define text overlay, interpolation mode, tile, window/level, and pan zoom by modality)
  • Consultation file creation, annotation, and local print including annotation with symbols and text (may be saved or printed to local printer as secondary capture image with W/L, pan/zoom, annotation features applied)
  • Edge enhancement
  • Print (DICOM 3.0 and postscript)

Cross-Sectional (CS) Option
The Cross-Sectional option provides the WorkStation with additional tools which enhance CT and MR reads. The CS features include:

  • Database management for authorized users (folder merge, demographic edit, study deletion)
  • Scout View and Image Cross-Referencing
  • Multi-Planar Reconstruction (MPR)
  • Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP)
  • Multiple Stack Mode (provides the ability to synchronize multiple stacks across multiple monitors by anatomical reference and series number)
  • Advanced Viewing Protocols (provide full automatic sequencing of "hanging" of studies, series and images based upon the study/series comment section at the modality. The viewing protocol is expanded to study-based rather than modality-based).

PACS II WorkStation with Server - VA Edition
  • UNIX
  • Quad Monitor (2000 x 2500 Resolution)

The PACS II WorkStation with Server -- VA Edition enhances radiologist's abilities to access, interpret, report and distribute image data. When used in conjunction with DICOM 3.0, VA Edition Server, the PACS II WorkStation provides optimum efficiency and functionality as a proprietary workstation.

Features
The PACS II WorkStaion with Server provides a textual information display from the Department of Veteran Affairs Decentralized Hospital Computer Program (DHCP) system. The Workstation also has the cabability to route imagery from the Server to DHCP imaging gateways. This allows for low-resolution reference imagery to be displayed on other radiologists' desks for easy access during consultations, report generation, and other administrative duties.

Auto-read is a unique feature of the PACS II WorkStation (with the Server interfaced to DHCP) which allows for quick and accurate diagnosis of a patient's condition by associating a patient's new undiagnosed study with other studies collected for that patient on prior visits. With the single push of a button, this one-of-a-kind feature automatically reads and arranges the new images with the previously acquried images .

The PACS II WorkStation utilizes an extensive set of customizable tables which are used to select recent and long-term studies appropriate for diagnosing the new undiagnosed study based on it's CPT code.
