MultiView
X-tensions
MultiView X-tensions add
to the base features of MultiView teleradiology
viewing software. This strategy lets you spend your
teleradiology dollars where you need or want to by
letting you pick and choose the features you want.
2K X-tension
2K X-tension enhances the image quality of MultiView
Standard and adds tools which allow full resolution or
full image display on standard computer displays in
single and multiple image display. Images as large as 2 X
2.5K pixels can now be sent to stations with MultiView software. This includes the capability to view
12-bit images with JPEG and/or wavelet compression.
Outbox X-tension
With the Outbox X-tension, MultiView users are
able to query a remote capture station and
"pull" images into their personal computers
and/or workstations. While MultiView allows you
to receive sent images, the Outbox X-tension enables you
to call in and download scanned or framegrabbed images.
Since the action is initiated at the receive site, there
is no longer a need for personnel to be on hand at the
hospital or radiology group to send images. Images may be
retrieved from any computer, workstation, scanstation or
direct video capture unit which also has the Outbox
X-tension.
Wavelet X-tension
Wavelet X-tension enables you to receive images at an
incredibly fast rate. Images that previously took over an
hour, may now be transmitted and received in 10-15
minutes. With the Wavelet X-tension, you may receive
wavelet compressed images and save them as either
compressed or decompressed.

The PACS/DX ViewStation is a DICOM 3.0 compliant, Windows
NT-based application which gives physicians the
capability to receive, view, enhance, and manipulate
patient images in user-defined layout formats.
ViewStations are specifically intended for review of
images by referring physicians or clinicians. They are
often placed in clinical environments such as ICU,
providing nurses and clinicians with immediate access to
1K and 2K images.
The PACS/DX ViewStation is also a cost-effective viewing
platform for advanced teleradiology applications and
central read. Users may select images by patient name
from the local database or by querying the central server
by patient name, patient identification number, or study
identification number. Once a patient folder is selected,
the user has the option of restricting the query to a
specific modality or time-span.
The
ViewStation software communicates via any standard
LAN/WAN interface. An on-line help feature is also
available.
